JIN MMA Gym Rules

To keep JIN MMA safe, professional and welcoming, everyone must follow these rules.

Membership and Access

  • Gym access is for active JIN MMA members only.

  • Do not allow non-members into the gym or share your access details with anyone.

  • Guests may only attend if they have booked a free trial and are taking part in a scheduled class.

  • Do not bring friends, family members or spectators without prior permission.

  • All visitors and trial participants must complete the required registration and waiver before training.

  • Anyone under 18 must be supervised by an authorised coach or responsible adult and must never be left unattended.

Coaching and Personal Training

  • Do not coach, instruct or run sessions for other members unless you are suitably qualified and have permission from JIN MMA.

  • Personal training and private small-group sessions must be authorised and booked in advance.

  • Private sessions are limited to a maximum of five participants unless JIN MMA has given prior permission.

  • Coaches and personal trainers are responsible for ensuring every client has completed the appropriate registration and waiver.

  • The gym must not be used for unauthorised commercial coaching or paid sessions.

Training Safely

  • Train within your ability and follow instructions given by JIN MMA coaches.

  • Do not attempt heavy lifts without a suitable spotter.

  • Use safety bars, collars and other safety equipment where appropriate.

  • Inspect equipment before use and report any damage or hazards immediately.

  • Do not use damaged equipment.

  • Sparring, live grappling and contact drills must only take place with the agreement of everyone involved and under appropriate supervision.

  • Use suitable protective equipment for the activity.

  • Stop training and inform a coach if you feel unwell, dizzy or injured.

  • Do not train while under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs.

  • Do not behave aggressively, recklessly or in a way that puts others at risk.

Equipment and Tidiness

  • Return all weights, bars, pads and other equipment to their correct place immediately after use.

  • Remove plates from bars when you have finished.

  • Never leave weights, bags or equipment where they could create a trip or crushing hazard—especially where children may be present.

  • Keep walkways, fire exits and training areas clear at all times.

  • Wipe down equipment after use and dispose of rubbish properly.

  • Keep personal belongings in the designated area. JIN MMA cannot accept responsibility for items left unattended.

  • Wear clean, suitable training clothing and footwear. Maintain good personal hygiene and keep nails trimmed for partner training.

Respect and Conduct

  • Treat coaches, members, visitors and staff with respect.

  • Bullying, harassment, discrimination, intimidation or threatening behaviour will not be tolerated.

  • Respect other people’s personal space, experience level and right to decline a drill or sparring round.

  • Do not photograph or record another person without their permission.

  • Children must not play with weights or training equipment.

  • Follow all reasonable instructions given by JIN MMA staff.

Emergencies and Enforcement

  • Report injuries, accidents, unsafe behaviour and hazards to a coach immediately.

  • Make yourself familiar with the fire exits and emergency procedures.

  • JIN MMA may refuse entry, stop a session or suspend access where these rules are not followed.

  • Serious or repeated breaches may result in membership cancellation without further access to the gym.
